Heather Glen Golf Links facility is located in Little River, South Carolina, just outside of Myrtle Beach. Willard Byrd and Clyde Johnson are the course designers. Useing the natural terrain and the 19th Century British-styled clubhouse they created the feel of an old Scottish-links course. The facility features 100 year old pines, picturesque dogwoods, huge live oaks, unusual bunkers and heathered dunes.The Red, The Blue and the White courses all opened in 1987. Since its opening it has recieved many rave reviews including being listed as the number1 new public course in America in 1987, and named among the top 22 golf courses in South Carolina.
