The Pine Lakes Int'l Country Club is one of the oldest golf courses in the area. It opened as the Ocean Forest Country Club in 1927. It was designed by St. Andrews, Scotland native Robert White and is listed on the National Register of Historical Places. He was the first President of the PGA of America and co-founder of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. It was renovated over the years and recently has been restored by Craig Schreiner to its original grandeur. In order to recapture the original feel, sometimes the players are greeted with a mimosa, or a cup of low-country clam chowder. Online tee times may be available at Pine Lakes Int'l Country Club or at nearby golf courses, usually offered at a discount from the normal rate.
