The River Oaks Golf Plantation has three nine-hole courses. Originally the resort consisted of The Fox Course designed by Gene Hamm, and the Otter Course designed by Gene Hamm and Tom Jackson. The Plantation opened in 1988. The Bear Course was designed by Tom Jackson and added in 1990. The course meanders along the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. Each course is named for animals found in their natural habitats. It has recently been renovated to provide an excellent opportunity to test your golfing skills. The Bear Course at River Oaks Golf Plantation is a 9-hole regulation length golf course in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This medium-length layout has 3 sets of teeboxes for a fun, but challenging golfing experience. Online tee times may be available at River Oaks Golf Plantation or at nearby golf courses, usually offered at a discount from the normal rate.
