The Myrtlewood Golf Club opened in 1972. It consists of two courses and is located in Myrtle Beach, SC. Edmund B. Ault designed the Palmetto Course, which is a traditional design. Beautiful views of the Intracoastal Waterway and immaculate bent grass greens make the course one of the most popular. It provides a variety of hazards and bunkers along with large undulating Tifdwarf Bermuda greens. These conditions test your shot-making abilities. The original PineHills Golf Course was designed by George W. Cobb. In 1993 Arthur Hill was called in to modernize the course. It has contoured Bermuda fairways and generous Penncross bent Tifdwarf Bermuda grass greens. The traditional elements include rolling fairways, mulitiple water hazards and subtle elevation changes. It provides a challenge for all levels of golfer. From the beginner to the experienced golfer, all will enjoy their game. Online tee times may be available at Myrtlewood Golf Club or at nearby golf courses, often at a substantial discount from the going green fees rate.
