Western New York!
There are a number of nice courses with online tee times available at nicely discounted prices in the Western part of the state of New York.
Ravenwood Golf Club, in Victor, NY, is a rather long one from the back tees, at just over 7,000 yards. Relatively flat greens are featured which are true and fast and are medium in size. Wide open fairways predominate and the tee boxes are mostly elevated.
The retirement area course, Triple Creek Golf Club offers an inexpensive 18-hole round of golf. Located in Nunda, NY, the course was built in 1966 and has quite a bit of water in the form of a number of ponds which are featured on many of the holes. The fairways are wide open and the greens are nice and fast. The terrain is a bit hilly, but not too much so.
Seneca Hickory Stick Golf Club, in Lewiston, NY is another Robert Trent Jones II design, which was named after the protected species of tree, the Shellbark Hickory, some of which can be found on that golf course. Located only 10 miles or so from Niagara Falls, this course with large and old trees is considered by many to be the best in the area as far as customer service and conditions.
