In a recent magazine interview Erik “Erik123” Sagstrom, one of the best online poker players of all time, talks about the crazy golf betting that goes on within the poker community.

“There is lots of money to be made on the golf course. Almost all poker players play golf as well. Even though you lose some times to a player that has a good day, the player with the lowest handicap normally wins,” said Sagstrom who currently has a handicap around 2.

Sagstrom also reveals that Phil Ivey is perhaps the most devious of them all when it comes to betting on golf.

“Everything Ivey says about him being cheated and hustled on the golf course is just lies. He is the biggest hustler of them all. After all, he is from New York. You hear all the time how good you are at the golf course, but still you lose all the time.”

“Earlier, if you wanted to play against Phil Ivey, you had to play against his two “buddies” as well. Those two buddies were like among the best players in the world. They probably make so much money with him (Ivey) that they don’t have to on the regular golf tour.
