It was his desire to create an exciting and memorable experience for every golfer. Large, well-bunkered greens provide a challenge with 87 strategically-placed bunkers. Water hazards come into play on every hole which help make it a tough course! It was one of the first courses in Florida to use Paspalum grass, a special strain that thrives in saltwater areas. With four sets of tees the course ranges from 5047 to 7036 yards long so you can pick your challenge!
The Preserve Golf Club At Tara in Bradenton, FL is a Ted McAnlis signature championship golf course which winds through natural and lush Florida wetland settings. The course features Champion Ultra Dwarf Green. The course has 52 lakes which make water an omni-present feature but are incorperated to be in complete harmony with nature. Eleven charming bridges, lush landscaping, ancient oaks, tall pines, and wetlands wildlife are abundant and make it one of the most enjoyablecourses around.
The River Club is conveniently located in Bradenton, FL. It was designed by Ron Garl to feature two distinctivly different nines. The rolling fairways have more mounding on the front and while the back has more dense woods and strategically placed sand bunkers. The undulating, rolling greens are Jones Dwarf grass. The 18-hole course has a high slope rating and makes it a memorable course to play.
River Strand Golf and Country Club in Bradenton, FL is one of Sarasota’s newest and most modern courses. It was designed by Arthur Hills, one of the top designers in the world. He attempted to use thenatural environment of the Manatee River’s tributaries and estuaries to increase the challenge of this course. Native palm trees and live oaks line the fairways. On the second and third nine’s you experience the Manatee River and its tidal water areas. There are Tif-eagle greens which are expertly maintained.
